Ok friends, here’s the deal.

WordPress has been great to me thus far but I feel that there is something missing, and some parts that are not easy to use. I have taken the leap and am moving myself to Blogger.

You can find the new page here I hope you come visit at the new location.

While there you can join me via GFC, sign up via Passionfruit Ads for a swap and still enjoy all the same wonderful content.

Thank you for all of your support, just gotta move neighborhoods!

Thankfully Thrifted Thursday-Martini Glasses

My roommate and I have started a tradition, Martini Monday!

On our first night we didn’t actually have martini glasses and it really just wasn’t all that charming.

So what do two single girls do who have no martini glasses? They go thrifting!

We decided we didn’t want matching ones, there isn’t really anything in our apartment that matches and we like it that way.

These are the glasses that we found.

It’s the Eiffel Tower! It’s just tacky enough and we love it!

It has just a touch of blue, which I love!

So there you have it, we found ourselves some extra classy martini glasses! Love!

Now for what I’m thankful for this week ūüôā

I am thankful for simple, calm moments.

I am thankful for friends who have a heart to serve.

I am thankful for a wonderful house that I love to come home to.

I am thankful for a chance to express my creativity.

I am thankful for the ridiculousness of life (like my roommate and I doing the same scared dance when we realized the bat still lives on our deck).

Whimsical Wednesday-Week 11

Ah Wednesday.  You torment me with your wishful thoughts of the weekend but the large amount of time left before Friday night.

You taunt me with the fact that I have yet to exercise this week and that I’m a huge slacker…yeah. ¬†About that.

I’ve been super slacking on this healthy thing recently, it’s bad, really bad.

I mean with all those cupcakes in my life there has to be some sort of balance, right?  Yeah, still figuring that out.

I found a whole bunch of great plans that you can do at home to help jump-start getting into shape.  Now I just need to do them!

There are a couple of other exciting nuggets in this spread as well.

Very straight forward, do the designated workout each day (possibly in addition to something else).  Simple enough.

If you really wanna work out, hit up this cardio circuit. ¬†I’m tired just reading it!

Again, straight forward, do it everyday.  Gosh it sounds so simple when you just say it.

A simple little work out. ¬†Can totally do that at home (my roomie might think I’m insane.)

This is interesting.  It lets you off the hook 20 percent of the time!

Again, you can do this at home, are you doing it yet? ¬†I’m not (sadly).

This is where I want my mind set to be.

This website is great.  It really put weight loss into perspective, you should definitely check it out!

Truth, plain and simple.

I’ve done something like this before, now I just need to do it again!

Are you motivated yet? ¬†Maybe tonight I’ll go for a run…or maybe I’ll just pound through a few more episodes of my guilty pleasure show…”Drop Dead Diva.” ¬†I guess I could do some squats while watching.

Soundtrack Saturday-Green River Ordinance

I discovered this band a couple of weeks ago and instantly fell in love with their sound, their lyrics and pretty much everything about them.  The great news is that I totally get to go see them TONIGHT!

All of their songs are great! ¬†It was really hard to pick just one for today (and there was a lyric that I searched all of their songs for but couldn’t find so I must have been dreaming but this is a just as amazing song!)

I’ve been listening to these guys almost all week long. ¬†This is a great song, nice and slow and super romantic, totally breaks my heart a bit, and gives me a reason to hope!

Weekly Wrap Up

Happy Friday lovelies!

I hope you had a fabulous week, as always!

This was my first full week in my new place and it is almost totally decorated! ¬†My roommate and I have been having so much fun arranging things and making things for our walls and staying up really late talking. ¬†It’s a ton of fun!

We’ve been not only holed up in our apartment, we’ve been exploring our neighborhood as well and we are in love. ¬†It’s so wonderful (and they really like fireworks!)

This is my favorite wall! ¬†My thrifted retro ball cart and a fabulous starburst mirror. ¬†It’s like going to the seventies!

My roomie and I hung up a bunch of embroidery circles (she loves sewing, I love cupcakes). ¬†It’s the easiest, cheapest project and it’s SO cute!

Told you my neighborhood loves fireworks.  We had a block party and at the end of it there were fireworks, great fun!

Isn’t this stop sign awesome? ¬†It’s yellow and is trying to keep you safe!

Strawberry lemonade cupcakes anyone?  Recipe coming soon!

My cute little German girl hairstyle. ¬†Gotta love the braids (I’m a shoe in for a remake of The Sound of Music).

Exciting things are happening here, raspberries, maple syrup, water.

Turned into raspberry syrup and mixed with sparkling water.  Raspberry soda!  Amazing (it was missing a touch of vodka ;)).

So there you have it, a reasonable slow week (only 8 pictures this week, not the usual 15).

Whimsical Wednesday-Week 7

Happy week 7! ¬†Let me start off by saying that I’m super excited that I’ve made it this far and thank you all for being so encouraging of the blog! ¬†Loving it!

Now on to the task at hand, our dads! ¬†Father’s day is this Sunday! ¬†Do you have any big plans for your dad yet?

Well if you don’t have anything lined up than scroll through some ideas I’ve gathered this week. (And if you are an overachiever who has everything together already just do it anyway, you may be missing something ;)).

This is a great card that I’m sure any dad would love to get! (Click link for a printable!)

My dad never really wore ties much, but these little gift bags are just so darling!

There wasn’t a link for this picture, but it was just SO adorable that I couldn’t pass it up.

Handprints are so meaningful, and this little tree of life/family tree is so personal and “hand” made, too cute.

A tie wreath! ¬†Who knew. ¬†Such a clever idea (not sure if dads would actually love this but it’s fun none-the-less).

If your dad has a sweet tooth, this is probably the way to go.  Simple, funny and tasty.  Totes a winner.

If your dad never gets control, just give it to him, let him have it for just ONE day!

My dad rocks.  This present is handmade, cheap and PUNNY!  Just do it, every dad could use a punny paperweight, right?

To be totally honest, my dad would likely prefer spending the day with his three daughers playing Frisbee, or really just doing anything, maybe making dinner together and just laughing and being a family. ¬†However, we like to give him stuff so it’s almost nice to do something simple yet awesome!

Make sure to wish that special man (biological or honorary) a happy day on Sunday!

Whimsical Wednesday-Week 6

It’s summer time!

It’s time for dresses and ice cream and all things fun!

I found some pictures (most of which were inspired by rainbow sherbet) to share with you this week. ¬†It’s so beautiful, and a great way to welcome summer for real!

I am in love with this dress.  I love the pattern.  I will never be able to afford it.

If only I could spend my whole summer on the beach, at least I have the mountains I guess.

I want to make this. ¬†I think I could find the talent inside me to make it (it most likely won’t look as pretty…)

Such a pretty little outfit.  I myself am slightly opposed to umbrellas, but the dress is amazing!

I don’t paint my nails often, but maybe sometime this summer I’ll get inspired to do this!

These straws are so darling.  I am in love with all of the adorable vintage straws around and need to get my hands on some!

Rainbow sherbet cupcakes?  Ok, I could go for that!

Another adorable dress.  They also sell it in black, so adorable!

I love cheesecake, and this cheesecake is so bright and amazing!

So cheers, my friends, to a summer filled with joy and fun! (Every great cocktail goes wonderfully with summer).
